​St.Catharines Rowing Club Student Athlete Bursary

The St.Catharines Rowing Club is now accepting applications for its annual Student athlete bursary. The Rowing Club facilitates the awarding of this annual bursary, funded by an anonymous donor, to student athletes that best fulfill the spirit of the award. To qualify, a student athlete must meet the following requirements:

  • Current graduate of a local (SCRC) high school
  • Have selected and been accepted to a Canadian post-secondary school
  • Will be participating with the rowing team of that institution
  • Active athlete and supporter of a St.Catharines Rowing Club summer competitive program
     
Applications are due by Monday June 5th   

Announcement of the recipients will be made at the St. Catharines Rowing Club Boat Christening Sunday, June 25th, 2017.
 
To apply for the bursary, submit a one page outline of how you meet the criteria, a letter of reference from your high school, a letter of reference from rowing, and include a copy of your university/college acceptance letter.  The one page outline should include why you feel you are deserving of the bursary, how you have contributed to the Rowing Club, your chosen post secondary school, as well as, your financial need.
